Pizza available??
It was good, the food was very good, but both the wine, in this case Monte Velho, is expensive to consume frequently, and the value of the dish too, which could have a better price for us to always go.
MoreThey are bringing appetizer without asking and charge for this without telling you from the beginning. No one from there is speaking English, also beer is too expensive in comparison with other places like this. Personally I do not recommend
MoreGood traditional food. Had wine option
ok
Good food and atmosphere
Authentic Portuguese restaurant. Very good meal 🍴 and staff.
Came here with my wife. Really friendly, authentic restaurant. The staff and owner were really attentive- checking on us regularly. Had the chicken with vegetables- absolutely fantastic, the veg had loads of flavour and the chicken had a delicious bbq taste. No thrills but packed full of flavour and excellent value. Portion sizes were enormous! They were really accommodating of my dietary requirements making me a gluten free meal. Would highly recommend.
MoreIt is awesome place
Average food. Also very pricy.Their main dish is rice, potatoes and roasted lamb.If you like to drink, don't care about the food and are willing to pay a lot to be served averagely... Then, you'll like it. (Not my case).
MoreAn iconic bar! Founded in 1903, it lived in times of glory, then it was almost a ruin and a genius of the bars appeared (Antônio - Grupo Belmonte) to rescue it. Exquisite service. The kid with rice with broccoli and ruddy potatoes is the best I've ever eaten in the world. The pastel de nata is to be eaten praying. The cocktails with the genius Zan Andrade touch were very well prepared. Memorable experience!
MoreExcellent food and service. The octopus with broccoli rice is magnificent, just watch out for the fried garlic.
MoreVale a pena
Strongly recommended!a nice old restaurant with excellence.
Very tasty. Tip shouldn't be included in the bill before
A taste of Europe in the heart of Rio
This place was recommend on Lonely Planet and through trip advisor, but it was very disappointing. I ordered the roasted piglet, instead received a fried and very dry slab of pork. Definitely not worth the price for what you are paying for. I think this place has probably seen better days. The next day I had stomach cramps most likely due to the very oily pork.
MoreExceptional service and the food is very tasty. Promotional price for the Covid season. I highly recommend it.
MoreGreat house cocktail with traditional food!
Great restaurant. The best "bolinho de bacalhau = codfish ever". We also had an awesome lamb with broccoli rice and baked potatoes.

Beautiful Portuguese tarts

Came on a recommendation as the pork is supposed to be amazing but was disappointed. Pork was dry and sides were bland. Not worth the cost.
MoreWhere to start - at entering there was a quite strong bathroom odour and we were told by the elderly waiter where to sit. We ordered the salmon fillet with caper sauce and were asked "with puree?" - yes please... In no time we received two thin fillets of salmon that were done, we mean "DONE". The dry salmon fillet was accompanied by 4 rather huge lumps of potato puree. The caper sauce came on its own. Very disappointing meal and not worth paying for - it feels like the restaurant is past its due date.

Beautiful dishes
Really good food and service. Totally delicious.
Nice and quiet Portugese restaurant.
You must know this restaurant! Delicious food. Good service. Low prices. Historically place.
MoreGoat was super
Nothing special. The lamb is good but the rest is nothing special
The food is good, but in that scheme, much of the same, that is, a lot of side dishes, but of what is main in the dish, it comes very little ... The price of the dishes is fair, but do not order dessert, it is not worth pity, besides being boring is the price of an executive dish ... The service is attentive until you say something that you did not like, because it becomes cold ...
MoreExpensive but very nice place.cabrito AMAZING.highly recommended!!!
Keep walking
Great traditional Brazilian cuisine. Huge servings made to share. Lots of fisk and seafood on the menue. Well worth a visit.
MoreHave a bite of the lamb
Traditional portuguese restaurant no frills. cod fish cakes and chicken with veg both tasty and great value. Somewhat basic wc's
MoreShow
Tasty food, abundant and with the taste of home spice! The pastel de nata made me remember the pastel that my grandmother used to make!
MoreTraditional restaurant in Rio, serves a delicious rice with brocolli and lamb. A must-go in Lapa.
MoreTraditional, cosy, Portuguese and Brazilian gastronomy for a good time between friends with experienced and smiling waiters
MoreGood food, but expensive
This 1903 landmark restaurant is an oasis of calm and order, on a street of drunken disorder, with the cleanest restrooms in Lapa. An excellent assortment of Brazilian dishes, served by efficient waiters in white jackets. Croquettes de cabrito, bolinhos de Bacalho, and a tasty assortment of pastéis are offered as appetizers. The menu inludes a variety of steaks, seafood and lamb dishes. It is moderately priced, the beer is cold, the caipirinhas are strong, the atmosphere is friendly, not stuffy. In a neighborhood of loud bars, a quiet, clean place with helpful staff is greatly appreciated.
MoreTraditional Restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, where the main course is the Cabrito with Broccoli Rice and Red Potatoes. The dish is well served, costs $ 149 and gives for three people. It's delicious! The Codfish is also a Delight!
